Refund Policy

Homestay

Before arrival: First four weeks of accommodations custodian and placement fees are non-refundable.

After Arrival: Any request for a refund of unused homestay fees must be made within six months of leaving the program. Any refunds not claimed during that period will be forfeited to Cypress Accommodations. To get a full homestay refund, we require four weeks’ notice for cancellations, when less than four weeks’ notice is given, there is no refund. Homestay placement fee is valid for one year and it is not refundable and all refunds are subject to an administration fee.

Refunds will be made with the same payment method as the original payment and will be processed within 30 business days.

Proper cancellation notice of four weeks must be given and refund will be calculated accordingly.

Refund policies for hostels, flats and any other type of accommodation, will be specified in your booking confirmation and quote and it is determined by its local directors and owners.

All accommodation refunds are subject to a CAD$ 115 administrative fee plus applicable bank fees.


Transfer Services

Cancellations made less than 48 hours will be fully charged for incidents caused by third parties (flight delay or cancellations for example); student must inform Cypress immediately in order to have the transfer service re-booked with the new arrival time.

Transfer services refunds are subject to a CAD$ 50 administrative fee.


Insurance

If the cancellation occurs before the departure, student must request the refund in writing. All refunds are subject to a CAD$ 50 Cypress administrative fee plus any other cancellation fee imposed by the insurer.


Excursions

Refund policies for excursions, flats and any other type of tour, will be specified in your booking confirmation and quote and it is determined by its local partners.
