Refund Policy

Homestay

Any request for a refund of unused homestay fees must be made within six months of leaving the program. Any refunds not claimed during that period will be forfeited to Cypress Accommodations. To get a full homestay refund, we require four week notice before the new period starts for cancellations. When notice is given in less than four and with at least two weeks advance, 50% is refunded; when less than 2 weeks is given, there is no refund. Homestay placement fee is valid for one year and it is not refundable and all refunds are subject to an administration fee.

Once the form has been completed and signed, allow 30 business days to receive your refund.

Refunds will be made in the same method payment has been received.

Proper cancellation notice of four weeks must be given and refund will be calculated accordingly.

Refund policies for hostels, flats and any other type of accommodation, will be specified in your booking confirmation and quote and it is determined by its local directors and owners.

All accommodation refunds are subject to a CAD$ 115 administrative fee plus applicable bank fees.


Transfer Services

Cancellations made less than 48 hours will be fully charged for incidents caused by third parties (flight delay or cancellations for example); student must inform Cypress immediately in order to have the transfer service re-booked with the new arrival time.

Transfer services refunds are subject to a CAD$ 50 administrative fee.


Insurance

If the cancellation occurs before the departure, student must request the refund in writing. All refunds are subject to a CAD$ 50 Cypress administrative fee plus any other cancellation fee imposed by the insurer.


Excursions

Refund policies for excursions, flats and any other type of tour, will be specified in your booking confirmation and quote and it is determined by its local partners.
